If you are experiencing a major emergency, go to the ER as soon as possible or dial 9-1-1 now. Signs or symptoms of an acute emergency may include shortness of breath, chest pain, open fracture, fainting, severe bleeding, head injury or other major trauma, one-sided weakness or numbness, loss of consciousness or fainting, severe abdominal pain, or bites or stings from humans and animals.
If you are experiencing a non-life-threatening illness or injury and need care, you can walk in or schedule your appointment at any of our ERs. Then you can wait at home until it is time to come in.
For orthopedic injuries, try one of our orthopedic walk in clinics. See an orthopedic specialist immediately with no referrals or appointments. Whether it’s a strain, a sprain or a break, we have everything onsite to get you back to your job, your life or your game — all for the cost of an office visit. At this time, Ascension Michigan remains focused on COVID-19 vaccinations for healthcare staff and first responders. The state of Michigan announced it is moving into the next phase of vaccine administration beginning January 11, as vaccine supplies are available. This next phase includes healthcare workers working in long-term care facilities, people residing in long-term care facilities, people age 65 years or older, or frontline workers whose work role has frequent or intense exposure, and due to the nature of the work, are not able to maintain social distance (including first responders, school and child care staff or corrections staff). Ascension Michigan will announce publicly and share more details when the healthcare system moves to this next phase of vaccination. For more information about vaccine distribution, please visit the CDC website, or contact your local public health authority.
