Welcome to the Gateway Employee Clinics providing quality healthcare delivered by Ascension Wisconsin

The Gateway Employee Clinics provide quality and convenient access to healthcare for Gateway Technical College employees and their families. The clinics are available to Gateway enrollees who are primary insurance holders under WCA Group Health Trust. Dependents must be at least 2 years old to be seen at the clinic. The clinic can help healthcare plan enrollees identify health risk factors, provide education for positive health changes and offer confidential, convenient health services.

Cheryl Nelson, RN

Cheryl Nelson, RN has been a nurse 36 years and with Ascension since August 2002. She has experience in acute care with orthopedic, spine and general surgery pre and post op care and has worked in the medical/surgical unit.

Cheryl is excited to be a part of the Gateway Employee Health Clinic while continuing to serve in the medical field.

Outside of work she enjoys sunrises, sunsets and spending time with her family.

Patient satisfaction survey

Medical

  • Diagnose and treat acute healthcare needs including, but not limited to sore throat, earache, gynecological exam and urinary problems, etc., while collaborating with the patient’s primary care provider
  • Manage chronic illness including but not limited to diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, etc.
  • Write electronic prescriptions and medication refills
  • Make referrals to the patient’s network provider for specialty medical appointments
  • Administer immunizations
  • Conduct adult physicals (all other physicals required by pediatrician)
  • Work with the patient to develop an individualized wellness plan based on the patient’s own risk factors

EAP (Employee Assistance Program) – not offered at clinic locations

  • Family and marital counseling
  • Grief support
  • Mental health crisis
  • Substance abuse issues
  • Depression, stress or anxiety
  • Workplace conflicts
  • An unplanned event or crisis

Janet Kieslich, MSN, RN, FNP-BC

Janet Kieslich, MSN, RN, FNP-BC

Janet has been in nursing for over 30 years. Providing patient care to the entire family brings her  joy, knowing she can truly make a difference in people’s overall health. She strives to help people improve their quality of life, achieve their health and wellness goals and support their best possible self in body, mind and spirit. Janet enjoys developing special connections with adolescent patients helping them realize the importance of healthy lifestyle decisions which carry over into adulthood. She takes interest in peri and post menopause, weight reduction, exercise, gut microbiome, using natural remedies first and focuses on chronic disease prevention.

Janet is an ANCC certified family nurse practitioner with over 20 years’ experience. She received her BSN at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. She completed her MSN at Marquette University for her Adult NP certification and obtained a post master’s certificate from The George Washington University for her Family NP certification.

On the weekends, Janet volunteers as a substitute Sunday School teacher at her church. She is married and blessed with raising two sons. Janet is an avid exercise enthusiast enjoying many sports such as pickleball, golf, volleyball, skiing, hiking, fishing and billiards. She is also certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a group fitness instructor and teaches various yoga classes.

Judith Jankiewicz, RN

Judith Jankiewicz, RN

Judy has 40 years’ experience working in Intensive Care Units, Emergency Room, coding and physicians’ offices as a Registered Nurse. She enjoys helping people maintain and improve their health.

Judy is an avid road bicyclist, enjoys quilting and spending time with her pets.
