Welcome to Waco Independent School District Mental & Behavioral Health Services
Ascension Medical Group Providence provides licensed professional counselor (LPC) support directly to the employees of Waco ISD through our relationship-based approach to providing care. A dedicated licensed professional counselor is hired by Ascension Medical Group Providence, including the District in the selection and hiring process, and is an employee of our organization. This dedicated professional will focus on building trusting relationships with district employees in an effort to remove obstacles to seeking care for oneself. This confidential service gives the District's employees a safe space to discuss private concerns and seek credible, expert care. All conversations with the LPC are completely private and confidential. This service allows Waco ISD to provide employees with a trusted on-site behavioral health resource while respecting the employer/employee relationship.

Tyler Tomek, M.A., LPC
Visit Tyler Tomek, M.A., LPC, at the Waco Independent School District Greater Waco Advanced Healthcare Academy (GWAHCA) campus for mental and behavioral health counseling services to improve your mental well being.
Tyler Tomek is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 8 years of experience in a variety of mental health settings. He is focused on meeting clients where they are and helping them move forward and make meaningful progress towards their goals. Tyler specializes in anxiety, major life transitions, depression, stress, and self-esteem.
Tyler completed his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree at Baylor University and his Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology degree at the University of Texas. He has experience in many diverse settings including private practice, intake and outpatient services along with crisis negotiations. Tyler uses multiple treatment strategies including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, talk therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
